I’m Michelle (Mich) — maker, stitcher, coffee drinker, and the human behind the embroidery hoop at Stitch By Mich.

I started this little shop because of how cute our dog is... so cute that my mom wanted a sweatshirt with her face on it for Christmas one year. At that point I had my first embroidery machine (just for fun) and finally figured out how to get it to work. Eventually, friends and strangers started asking for custom pieces, and here we are!

Each item you’ll find here is handmade with lots of care and the occasional "oops" unpicked and redone. I love turning simple things into something a little more personal and long-lasting. 

I still work a typical 9-5 corporate remote job, spend several hours in my garden for my sanity, usually walk to the park so Ryder chase some squirrels, and supervise while my amazing husband does lots of projects.

As busy as it gets, this shop is where my creativity lives, and I’m so glad you found it. Thanks for supporting small-batch, handmade goodness — and for making it possible for me to do what I love, one stitch at a time.
